Final Result – 2025 Special Election for Te Waipounamu Trustee

Ngāti Mutunga o Wharekauri Iwi Trust is pleased to announce the final result of the 2025 Special Election for the Te Waipounamu region trustee seat.

Voting for this vacancy closed at 5pm on Tuesday 9 December 2025. The election process was conducted with integrity and in accordance with all necessary scrutiny and validation procedures.

Confirmed Results:

• Paula Page – 207 votes

• Katrina Kamo – 158 votes

• Informal Votes – 0

• Blank Votes – 2

With a total of 367 votes received from 1,154 eligible voters, the voter return was 31.80%, with 71.12% of voters casting their votes online and 28.88% by post.

We formally declare Paula Page as the duly elected Trustee representing the Te Waipounamu region.
