Te Pūnaha Hiringa: Māori Innovation Fund - 2016 round now open

We are pleased to advise you that the 2016 round of the Te Pūnaha Hiringa: Māori Innovation Fund is now open, as announced by Hon Flavell today.


The Fund aims to help Māori collectives to increase their skills, knowledge and networks so they can realise the economic potential of their assets. You can find out more about this fund at http://www.mbie.govt.nz/info-services/science-innovation/investment-funding/maori-innovation-fund.


The Application Guide, which outlines the questions you will be asked when applying, will be available on the website on Monday, 7 March 2016. The Portal will be open to receive applications on Monday, 7 March 2016.

 7 March 2016
 IMS Portal opens (applications can be submitted)
 1:00pm7 April 2016
 IMS Portal closes (applications must be submitted by 1:00pm)
 June 2016 (indicative)
 Applicants advised of funding decisions
 July 2016 (indicative)
 Contracting process starts

Please note that applications are required to include evidence that your collective is, or all the organisations in your coalition of collectives are, in agreement to apply to the Fund. This might be, for example, a meeting minute showing a Board resolution to apply, or a letter from someone with the authority to act on behalf of your collective.
